Exchanges Canada/International Program
Allow youths to:

  • Visit Canada and foreign countries and

discover cultural, ethnic, historical and
geographical differences;

  • Get to know the Francophone communities of Canada and elsewhere better;


 

  • Get to know other young people (from Canada and around the world), which contributes to fight prejudices and discrimination;
  • Fight the feeling of isolation;
  • Participate in recreational activities;
  • Enhance their mental health, as well as their

     physical health.

 

 

AJFAS’s goals are the following:

 

  • Help with the integration of Francophone immigrant youths and families in the Albertan society and workplace;
  • Promote intercultural exchanges and fight any kind of discrimination;
  • Fight violence and prevent delinquency and incivility amongst Francophone immigrant youths;
  • Promote and protect the rights of Francophone immigrant women who live in Alberta;
  • Encourage youths, parents and other community members to embody the following values: democracy, tolerance, self-esteem and respect;
  • Encourage parents and youth to be responsible so that the general sense of family and community is stronger.
